Congratulations on your engagement! Thank you for considering me for your elopement/wedding! Below is some practical info. I can help you make a timeline, figure out the best time of day for certain photos (lighting is king!), etc. But for now, this will give you a better idea of the process. Enjoy! :)
During this time, I capture you getting ready and dressed, as well as your accessories.
Optional, but magical. I will find somewhere private and make this a special, intimate moment between you two.
Schedule in some time for both your besties.
This is what it's all about, and I will capture it from all angles.
We will find somewhere with good light, and do all those posed family formal portraits one after another.
This is the magic time and the most important photos. Make sure to build in time for this. Ideally, at least 15 minutes of it is during that hour before the sun sets when the lighting is soft and golden.
I will take these all day long. I make sure to capture all of the little details you put so much love into, from tables to cake to flowers.
Candids of toasts, dances, etc.
An idea of how much time is ideal

What's Included? My pricing is transparent and up front, with no hidden costs. Included is downloading rights to images via a private online gallery on my site. You can download and print how you choose. I do offer albums and prints separately, but they are completely optional.
Why do prices of photographers vary? I use the best cameras and lenses on the market, which helps me capture the sharpest, highest quality images. I also shoot with two cameras at the same time, using different lenses so that I can quickly take both wide shots and zoom photos without missing a moment while changing lenses. When interviewing photographers, it's important that you like not only their style, but that they are using quality gear.

Before the wedding, I am happy to help you figure out the timing of the day (with your timeline) in order to make sure you build in enough time for the photos you want. The goal is for everything to flow so you can be super present on the day of.
I like to meet up in person or via Skype (wine or coffee?) so that we can get to know each other better. I will go check out the venue to get some ideas on pretty backgrounds and lighting. I also send through some tips I have found consistently equal beautiful images.
On the wedding day, I am with you for the amount of hours you want. Usually, that begins when you are doing your hair/makeup and ends when you are just open dancing (no more toasts, etc.). For most of the day, I quietly and unobtrusively document the day. For the portraits portion, I guide you like an art director with my main goal being to help you feel comfortable (which equals the best pics!).
Technically speaking, I usually shoot with my two Canon Mark IIIs, which are the best cameras on the market IMO. I use the highest-quality lenses because of the beautiful ways they help me capture the light and my clients. Within six weeks, I will send you the link to download and share your fully edited, high-resolution JPEG images. You can print them on your own, where and how you want. You can always contact me down the road to make you a professional album. Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you. :)

"E-sessions" are hands down the best way to get comfortable in front of the camera. They help get the nerves out and by the big day, you're a professional!
Throw away all your notions on what an engagement session should be, and let's go do something that makes you think "us". Think of your favorite things to do together (camping, hiking, biking) or your favorite coffee shop or bar, and let's go there. Or, what about where you met, your first date, or where he proposed? We can work out two locations within 10 minutes of each other, and spend around 30-45 minutes at each.
What to wear? It's always fun to do two totally different looks, especially since we usually will shoot in two different locations. You could rock something dramatic and fierce, and then both change into something that represents a different side of who you are. Feel free to text me pics and I can help (okay, actually I love that kind of stuff haha).
